The Lewis Walpole Library does not require a reservation, but we appreciate being informed in advance of any planned research visit since space in the Reading Room is limited.
Library hours and access may shift without notice in response to weather, University guidance, and other factors. Always check library hours on the library website before coming to campus. (Yale Library hours listed in Google are not always accurate, especially in cases of inclement weather, holidays, or other unusual circumstances.)
Library staff are available via email for reference services, or email walpole@yale.edu.
The library is closed on University holidays.
The exhibition gallery is open to the public Wednesdays 2 to 4:30 pm while exhibitions are on view.
