LWL Fellows Speak at ISECS Congress

November 1, 2019

The Library presented two panels at the ISECS conference: “Gothic Horrors, Catholic Undertones, and Political Caricature: Archival Riches of the Lewis Walpole Library,” chaired by Stephen Clarke, University of Liverpool and member of the LWL’s Board of Managers, and “Visual and Literary Topography,” chaired by Cynthia Roman, Curator of Prints, Drawings, and Paintings at the LWL. Both panels highlighted the library’s collections, and all but one of the panel speakers were former LWL Fellows.

The LWL was well represented throughout the conference by a total of sixty-four LWL Fellows from as far back as 1997 and as recent as 2019 who either delivered papers or chaired panels, some participating in multiple sessions, representing one hundred and four individual contributions to the conference.
